Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup Sriracha sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (light or reduced-sodium preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger (or 1/2-inch fresh ginger, peeled)
  • Pinch of salt (optional, to taste)

Instructions

  1. 1

Add garlic cloves (and fresh ginger, if using) to the Thermomix bowl. Chop for 5 seconds/speed 7. Scrape down the sides.

  2. 2

Add honey, Sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, lime juice, toasted sesame oil, and ground ginger (if not using fresh) to the bowl.

  3. 3

    Mix 10 seconds/speed 5 to combine.

  4. 4

Cook for 7 minutes/100°C/speed 2, measuring cup OFF (to allow some steam to escape and thicken the sauce slightly).

  5. 5

Check consistency. If you prefer a thicker sauce, cook an additional 2-3 minutes/Varoma/speed 2, MC OFF.

  6. 6

Taste and adjust seasoning with a pinch of salt or extra lime juice, if desired.

  7. 7

    Blend 10 seconds/speed 8 for a smooth, glossy finish.

  8. 8

Transfer to a jar or serving bowl. Allow to cool slightly before serving as a dipping sauce.

Tips & Variations

Pro Tips

  • For extra heat, increase the Sriracha to 1/2 cup or add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • If you’d like a milder dip, reduce Sriracha to 1/4 cup and add 1 tablespoon of water after cooking.
  • For a thicker sauce (great for glazing), cook a few extra minutes on Varoma with the MC off.
  • Use fresh lime juice for the best bright, tangy flavor.
  • Double the recipe and store the extra for a quick drizzle over rice bowls, chicken, or veggies.

Storage

  • Refrigerator: Up to 1-2 weeks in airtight container
  • Freezer: Up to 3 months (thaw overnight in fridge)
  • Best Practice: Store in glass jars for longer freshness

Recipe Variations

  • Add 2 tablespoons mayonnaise to the cooled sauce for a creamy honey Sriracha dip.
  • Stir in 1 tablespoon finely chopped cilantro or scallion for a fresh herbal twist.
  • Replace lime juice with lemon juice and add orange zest for a citrusy honey Sriracha glaze.
